What booking a musician actually costs
No subscription required, no setup fee, no charge for posting a request. You pay a service fee only when you book someone. Here's the whole table.
Pay per booking
You set your budget. Musicians send offers. When you accept one, EM adds a service fee based on the size of the booking.
Larger bookings cost us less to service per dollar — same vetting, same payment handling, same support, spread across more value. So we charge less.
| Booking amount | Service fee |
|---|---|
| Up to $250 | 25% |
| $250 – $500 | 22% |
| $500 – $1,000 | 20% |
| Over $1,000 | 18% |
Boundaries are inclusive of the lower band — a $250 booking is charged at 25%, a $250+ booking at 22%.
A real booking, start to finish
Your budget: $300 for a Sunday morning drummer.
The musician is paid directly through the platform. You don't handle cash, write a check, or chase anyone for a W-9.
$99 per seat, per month
Flat 15% service fee on every booking, regardless of size. No tiers, no boundaries, no doing math before you post.
On a $300 booking, pay-per-booking costs $66 in fees. Pro costs $45. You save $21.
One seat pays for itself at 5 bookings a month. Below that, stay on pay-per-booking — we'll tell you the same thing if you ask.
